We give youth from all walks of life access to robotics, computer programming, literature, art, engineering, and more. We - literally - link them to the world! At the library, teens learn more than just the science behind an experiment or the history of art, they learn how to interact with people from different backgrounds, how to brainstorm and collaborate, how to think beyond themselves; they learn how to be good citizens of the world.
We are in a unique position to help our teens make the most of their lives and we should take that responsibility seriously. The library is one of the few low stakes environments for learning and growth where teens can explore any subject that tickles their interest without fear of failure or judgement.
