We combined baking soda and shaving cream and experimented with different amounts to see how it changed the consistency. Then we added vinegar to see the vinegar react with the baking soda, which made it "erupt" or foam. It made a big mess and I wish I'd put down newspapers on the floor and had trays or larger containers for them to mix the fake snow in, but all of the kids and teens participated and loved it, so it was totally worth the mess!
