Stuffed Animal Sleepover @ JUN

On March 22, Lauren, Jessica, and Agenais hosted a Stuffed Animal Sleepover at the Jungman Library. They have been planning this event since last fall, and unfortunately had to reschedule it, so I was excited to see it on their calendar of events, and wanted to share with other youth services staff too.

They had 12 animals spend the night in the library, getting into all sorts of mischief and mayhem once the library closed for the day.

After the animals were told they had to be on good behavior and still follow the library rules, they found other things to do while they were awake, from playing on the iPad, to reading about tasty foods and current events.

They had a rousing game of hide and go seek, until they made a mess.

Miss Jessica decided that they needed a storytime to settle down before they all fell asleep.

The staff members even created a public blog so that the families who sent their little ones to stay the night could enjoy the activities and photos too. I can’t wait to see what future sleepovers hold!
